Hair Transplant & Hair Loss in Korea

Korean hair transplant clinics are known for high graft counts per session and for non-shaven techniques that let patients return to work quickly, at roughly half to a third of US pricing.

Pricing in Korea is quoted per graft or per hair, and the two are not the same. A graft contains one to four hairs, so a price per hair looks far cheaper than a price per graft for the same work. Always convert quotes to a per-graft basis before comparing clinics.

Hair transplant relocates existing follicles; it does not stop the underlying loss. Medical therapy with finasteride or minoxidil is normally continued alongside, or the untransplanted hair around the graft continues to recede.

Frequently asked questions

How many grafts do I need?

A receding hairline typically needs 1,500 to 2,500 grafts, a crown 2,000 to 3,000, and extensive loss 3,000 to 5,000 across sessions. Only an in-person density assessment gives a real number.

Will people know I had a transplant?

Non-shaven FUE leaves the donor area covered by existing hair, and recipient scabs clear in 10 to 14 days. Most patients are presentable in about two weeks, with new growth visible from three to four months.
